A Maryland native, Forbush attended the Maryland InStilMtfc ■ of Art before working as a fashion model. She previously fitted sales yearlings at her Foxhall Farm, before an auto accident left her unable to work as a horse professional in 1989.
“After the accident, I just picked up a paintbrush one day and started back” into art, she said, explaining that she took classes at Washington’s Corcoran Institute for a time “but I was on the road too much. I decided to put the time I was driving into just teaching myself and learning.”
