Bechtold, was a hoot, as she cajoled and poked fun at the guests bidding against each other.
The guests were convulsed in laughter throughout most of the auction, as Ms. Bechtold herself would jump into the middle of the bidding for items that she wanted. What a night!
• Grandparents Day on Friday, April 12. was Filled with love as grandparents toured the school and classrooms of their grandchildren before Filing into the auditorium for a special presentation. Several grades had prepared songs, poems, and skits for their honored guests, and there were more than a few teary eyes at the end. We love our parents and grandparents, and it was great having them with us.
One of the truly wonderful things about WCDS is the parental involvement in the school. Scarcely a day goes by without parents dropping in to offer to help in the office, to serve lunches, to read to the little ones, or to substitute. The kids love seeing their parents in the hallways, and it makes a loving environment for everyone.
