Spring is always a busy time for most people, and life at Wakefield Country Day School is no exception. With spring break trips, recitals, auctions. Open Houses, and sports, it’s generally one thing after another for the parents and students at the school.
• This year's Annual Auction was a roaring success by any measure. A record amount of money was raised, due in part to several factors. The women at the helm of this year's auction were tireless in their efforts, rounding up many, many beautiful objects to bid on. Mrs. Kathie Russo and Mrs. Joyce Hunt were efficient and organized as they directed each week of Auction Countdown, but it couldn’t be done without the volunteers who spent hours addressing envelopes, stuffing them, tagging merchandise, making phone calls, and getting the word out.
Many thanks must go out to the businesses, artists, and friends of Wakefield who so graciously donated the items for our auction. Our auctioneer this year. Lower School Dean Rachel
