On Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m., the Theatre at Washington, Va., presents a concert of well loved songs from opera, plus a few lesser known works. The beautiful soprano Jacqueline Neimat, and pianist George Peachey return to the Theatre after an absence of two years.
Bass baritone Eugene Galvin will be making his first appearance at the Theatre in Little Washington.
The program includes music from operas of Mozart, Gounod, Bellini, Massenet, Meyerbeer, and Puccini; three songs by Rachmaninoff, and music of the less well known composers Boito, Bock and Harnick and Robert Johnson.
Jacqueline Neimat’s recitals in the Washington area include performances at the Italian Cultural Society and at the Austrian, Lebanese, and Finnish Embassies, and at The Strathmore Arts Center in Maryland. She was a prize winner in last year’s
