Position #73105 Starting Salary: $30,048 - $32,000

This full time position reports to the Library Director and has numerous responsibilities in the area of children and youth programming at the Culpeper County Library. The Library facility is three years old. with 4 public internet terminals and 15 online catalogs that include Ebsohost, Electric Library. WorldBook online. NetLibrary, SIRS and Newsbank Duties/responsibilities include: reference and - reader's advisory, collection development, liaison to schools and community services, programming, supervision of one part-time staff member and volunteers. Preferred applicant will have a Master's Degree in Library Science or be actively enrolled in an MLS degree program from a ALA accredited school; be creative and energetic; have a working knowledge of an automated system, experience with electronic resources and the Internet. We are seeking also a community minded individual to build lasting relationships within a small but growing town and county. Preference will be given to those with previous experience working with children and young adults, storytelling and puppets. Please contact Susan J.
