Citizens of Fauquier County should express their outrage and contact the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, the Sheriff’s Office, the DGIF, state representatives and even the governor.
This type of action should never happen again.

Tiyronly Cross’ unfortunate encounter with JLVXthe Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF), as reported in the Democrat (“Tiny deer cause big controversy* July 5,2006),* is a great example of how a few thugs with badges can quickly destroy the good work and reputation of many conscientious and considerate officers with DGIF.
At a time when our local, state and national circumstances demand greater respect and cooperation between law enforcement personnel and all the citizenry, do we really need the kind of arrogant and callous behavior reported by Cross?
