why didn’t other county officials step up to the plate and disseminate information on the sheriff’s behalf?

I recall with admiration the day three years ago when Hampton district county supervisor Bryant Lee drove up my driveway, knocked on my door, and asked for my vote. Why wasn’t he knocking on his constituents’ doors this time around to update us on the most serious incident to ever occur in the Hampton district?

Although Larry Sherertz and his deputies deserve our praise for catching Cloniger and putting him behind bars, we as citizens deserve something too: county officials who tell us when we are not safe in our own homes.
