assisting Major Williams on tactical issues Wednesday and Thursday at our command posts in Gid Brown and Harris Hollows. Gary also arranged for the tactical teams to “camp” overnight at the high school to better serve as a quick response unit.
During the days that followed we conducted operations in Gid Brown and Harris Hollows, Tiger Valley, and Massies Corner. At Massies Corner, we achieved quick containment and perimeter integrity after a citizen reported seeing the suspect in the area.
This was a cooperative, multi-agency effort. It is important to remember this. In retrospect, I believe all the decisions made in our efforts to capture this suspect were good ones and followed established tactical nractices.
