Cross said he initially discussed his concerns with Col. Gerald Massengill, DGIF’s interim director, on the phone. On Wednesday Cross went to the agency’s headquarters to discuss it in person. He said he met with Massengill, Col. Mike Bise and Capt. Dabney Watts for about two hours, but said he is not satisfied with their responses to his concerns.
“The meeting was not productive. It will not change anything,” Cross said. “The DGIF officials are circling the wagons. They did not admit that they had done anything wrong.”
