As business increases and Rhein and his doves are more in demand, he is expanding his flock of doves by raising 70 more, giving him a total of 270 doves. Only about four people in the U.S. have as many doves as Rhein does for release.
“But this business isn’t about the birds, it’s about the people, and connecting with people,” he said.
And that is what he does best; the connection that he makes with the bubbling brides or the grieving widows is a special one that they remember Rhein explained.
Rhein sees and experiences both ends of the emotional spectrum in his work, and to each, the doves bestow their own special meaning.
