In a little more than three
months, Rappahannock voters will be going to the polls to elect a both a US Representative and a US Senator.
In the Senate race, incumbent Republican George Allen will be facing a tough election fight against Democrat Jim Webb. Allen’s major attraction seems to be that he is the son of a football coach and a parrot for the Bush administration. He has done nothing positive for Virginia or the United States during his tenure.
Recently Allen voted against Homeland Security funding for Northern Virginia. Rappahannock County is just outside the Northern Virginia area-but who wants terrorist attacks in Arlington or Manassas? He also voted to use the Border Patrol to detain senior citizens trying to buy affordable prescription drugs from Canada.
