On Saturday, July 22 the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue will have a flea market and yard party at the carnival grounds in the fire hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will even pick up the items for you. July 22: Dwyer Family Reunion

The 16th annual Dwyer Family reunion will be held on Saturday, July 22 beginning at 10 a.m. at Washington VFD building. All attending are asked to bring a drink or dish to share. For further information contact Wayne F. Baldwin at (540) 543-2590.

Are You Ready for Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Floods, and Public Health Emergencies? If someone knocked on your door and said to evacuate in five minutes, are you ready? Do you know what to take with you?

RRMRC orientation and trainings will take place on Saturday, July 22 in Culpeper from 9 a.m -12 noon. Registration is necessary.

The RRMRC is a group of volunteers who are prepared to volunteer in the case of a natural disaster or public health emergency in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock.

Washington schedule 60th Annual Show

The Cat Fanciers of Washington All Breed Cat Show will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Sunday, July 23rd, from 9 a.m to 4 p.m at Sportsplex Indoor Sports & Event Center, 221 Commonwealth Court, Winchester, Va. Hundreds of pedigreed cats from around the country, including many rare breeds such as the Cornish Rex and the Norwegian Forest Cat, are expected to compete. Judging and awards will take place throughout both days. Feline Cat Agility (yes, cats run courses just like dogs) will take place both days. Vendors with cat toys, supplies, and novelties will be in abundance. Local rescue groups will have cats available for adoption. Owners of household pets are welcome to enter the show. Starfish Mentoring Program, a program of Headwaters Public Education Foundation, is hosting a barbecue on July 23, from 4-6 p.m. at the farm of one of its mentors.
