Northern Virginia’s market surge was Rappahannock’s market surge as well, in 2005.
“The only houses that didn’t sell were houses that were under water,” said Denise Chandler, of Countryside Realty in Washington, Virginia. Now, the market in Rappahannock and counties closer to the District of Columbia seems to have slowed down, and is described by some area Realtors as “more relaxed.”
