The Virginia State Police have yet to bring any charges related to their seizure last week of an estimated $220,000in Marijuana plants from a private home near Washington, VA. The plants were discovered on July 6 by Senior State Trooper Pilot Mike Clarke and Lt. Connie Smith of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office as they searched for then fugitive Ira Wayne Cloniger from a state police helicopter. The 89 plants had not yet been harvested when they were seized by officers, and will have to be dried out in a State lab to assess their actual value, which will determine the extent of any charges. An investigation by the Virginia State Police is still ongoing.
