Wylie Wagg, a local dog and cat boutique, is located at 5B East Washington Street (also new second location in Fairfax) and is just around the comer from the event. “We are very proud to sponsor this event, and we hope that people and their pets will join us from near and far to celebrate a new tradition in Middleburg,” states owner Larry Clark. “We expect to see spirited competition among contestants in various fun categories, including pet/owner lookalike, best pet trick, most energetic tail wagger, most shameless begger, and best movie star potential.
Main Street Middleburg, the host of the event, is modeled after the Main Street program developed in 1980 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Main Street Middleburg is a participant in Main Street Loudoun (MSL), which oversees the program on behalf of Loudoun County through a comprehensive 4-point approach that has rekindled entrepreneurship, downtown cooperation and civic concern.
Middleburg is located approximately 50 minutes west of Washington, D.C. Take 1-66 to Route 50 west (towards Winchester). Continue on Route 50 for 25 miles into Middleburg.
