Wayland expressed relief to be done with the campaign and excitement to serve on the board as he celebrated his victory with friends and family Tuesday evening at his home in Sperryville.
“It feels great to be done, and I’m looking forward to serving the people of the Piedmont and working with the board,” he said. “I’m glad this part of the work is behind me.”
Wayland is filling a spot on the board that was opened by the departure of interim Piedmont District Supervisor Tom Taylor.
