Many thanks to those who teamed up to sell food and drink to our weekend guests for the art tour. Thornton River Grille’s Ken Thompson served many dozens of grilled bratwurst with sauerkraut. By 1 p.m. on Saturday, Tom Nash, chef extraordinaire, had sold out of his marinated grilled beef tenderloin sandwiches, served with roasted red pepper sauce. Wayne Waller from Apple Hill Bakery served up over 20 gallons of com chowder and 10 gallons of chili, in addition to hot dogs, hamburgers, and baked goods. Two stalwart teenagers sold sandwiches from Rae’s and the band boosters kept everyone warm with hot cider and other drinks. Margaret Best and a friend provided music, even in the cold! Thanks to all of them for all the extra effort to support the art tour. It made a big difference. A special thanks to Cliff Miller whose generous use of the parking lot and the walk-in cooler in the old restaurant made the food court a reality.
