remaps you nave received your real estate tax bill by now. Perhaps it struck you the same way it did me. Something needs fixing. Perhaps it is time for more outside involvement in the area of county revenue collection and disbursement. I am beginning to think it is time to have some outside observers see how this year’s budget is implemented and what is done with the revenue generated from the tax increase that was approved.
In our case, no property was purchased during the year, and no improvements were made on any property we owned. Still, our county real estate taxes increased over 33 percent. How do they justify that?
