Dec. 2: Fifth Annual
“Art from the heart” show
Wakefield Country Day School (WCDS) is hosting its 5th Annual “Art from the Heart” show on Saturday, December 2. Acting as an “art gallery for a day,” WCDS will provide a venue to admire the works of well-known area artists in a variety of media, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, bronzes and jewelry. This year’s show will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the school’s Leonard M. Cowherd Auditorium. The reception is $50 per person and will include a cocktail buffet, silent auction of professional works, and a half-hour live auction of WCDS student art pieces. Local businesses and other friends of WCDS are invited to participate as a patron or supporter. With a donation of $500 (75% tax deductible), patrons will receive four reservations for the show, beginning with an exclusive patrons champagne cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., and promotional advertising. Supporters who make a $200 donation (75% tax deductible), will receive reservations for two, as well as promotional advertising.
