This is the third time that Ramey has gone to the state meet. A year ago, he qualified for All-State status with a 13th-place finish. One of the reasons why he has received the state nod is because he enjoyed running the regional meet’s course.
“I like it. At the two-mile marker, you go uphill,” he said. “That helps a lot. I like the pain.”
