The CYF Cowboys (61) walked away Saturday with the league championship by a score of 18-12. The Cowboys won the championship in an overtime victory over the Cardinals (5-2). The Cardinals had 8 downs to try to get the ball into the end-zone from the 10 yard line. The Cowboys defense held them and moved them back. It took the Cowboys 2 downs to punch the ball in on their turn. Dustin Gilbert’s 7 yard run, behind blockers Emanuel Wormley, Mathew Boone and “T” Washington scored the gamewinning touchdown.
