Rappahannock News Staff Writers

As of Wednesday, Virginia’s Senate race between incumbent Republican Sen. George Allen and Democratic challenger Jim Webb was too close to call. But the votes were already counted in Rappahannock and county voters favored Webb.

Webb won more than 51 percent of votes in the county, according to unofficial statistics from the State Board of Elections.
