Veterans Day Event

Take the nip out of chilly fall weather with a sensational pairing of Gadino Cellars Viognier and Spicy Butternut Squash soup. Relax by the fireplace to the sounds of recording artist Robin Wynn with her Acoustic/Roots Rock. Comparisons to Sheryl Crow, Edie Brickell and Sarah Me Lachlan have been made to this up-and-coming Charlottesville musician. In honor of our veterans, all guests with a military ID will receive a free tasting of all our wines that day. (Must be 21 years or older). Our recently released 2005 Cabernet Franc is now available for sale at the tasting room only.

Nov. 11: Holiday Bazaar

The Amissville United Methodist Women will be holding their 26th annual bazaar on Saturday, November 11, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The bazaar features handcrafted Christmas ornaments and decorations, plus many other crafted items for children, babies and the home. There will be an extensive array of baked goods and homemade preserves, fresh Georgia pecans, flavorings, and the ever-popular white elephant tables. Lunch is also served featuring homemade soup, chili, sandwiches, hot dogs and desserts. We hope to see you there.

Reager School (located beside the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church) in Huntly is the place to be on Saturday, November 11 starting at 7 a. m. Come out for a delicious breakfast of seasoned sausage gravy, fresh scrambled eggs, golden hash browns, Virginia baked apples, homemade biscuits with butter hot cakes & syrup, freshly squeezed orange juice and hot steaming coffee. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Sponsored by the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church. To benefit the Cemetery Fund. The breakfast is prepared by Pat Jenkins and Shirley Frye and will continue until 10:30 a.m.
