Ysaye Barnwell, leader of the internationally renowned African American women’s accapella ensemble, Sweet Honey in the Rock, will lead the second annual Community Thanksgiving Sing on Friday November 24 at 8 p.m. Presented by Ki Theatre, this event drew a standing-room-only crowd last year. This year Ki Theatre has moved the Community Sing to the Schoolhouse to accommodate more people. The “Sing” begins at 8 p.m. Singers and non-singers alike are invited to come and bring family and friends to lift their hearts and voices together in song. First Annual Barbeque and Benefit on Saturday, November 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rappahannock County Elementary School. Featuring two raffle prizes: 100 Gallons of 87-Octane gasoline at Settle’s and special RCHS alumni-only raffle for a framed Geneva Welch print. Drawings will take place at the event.
