suicide prevention program
The RCHS Guidance Department is proud to have Alan Rasmussen, a suicide prevention specialist, present a suicide intervention program to our parents and community from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mr. Rasmussen will address alarming local statistics, warning signs, risk factors, and intervention techniques. Nov. 15: Garden Club meeting
The November meeting of the Rappahannock Garden Club will be at the Washington Fire Hall. Refreshments are served at 1 p.m., and the meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. All interested persons are welcome. Horticulture specimens are camellias and berried branches. The designs are “Say it with berries”, a traditional line design, and “Noel, Noel”, a parallel design. The program, presented by May Louise Sligh, of the Department of Conservation and Recreation of the York/Rappahannock Soil and Water Conservation District, will be about Low Impact Development and Stormwater Management.
