ourmng, a can to warden Jenkins to cneck on fire conditions is recommended. He can be reached through the county's dispatch office (675-3331) or by calling 987-8837. A call to the dispatch center by residents notifying them of a planned controlled burn is also requested. That way, a report of Smoke by someone else may be tied to the burn, saving the county's volunteer firefighters a wild goose chase. Reports will still be checked out, but can be crossreferenced with known controlled burns before a full response is sent.
