quest for $96,182 for employee health insurance. This will provide $1,108 each for 65 employees. The amount was supposed to cover 70 percent of a Blue Cross/Blue Shield single subscriber cost of $1,584. Forty-seven employees are expected to remain with other, less costly options.

The school employees will continue w ith the Johnson and Higgens Premier Plan II. The cost for a single subscriber this year was $1,460. Dr. Gangel told the board that a spokesman for the Virginia School Boards Association had told him they expected a “slight increase of no more than 20 percent. I guess the 32 percent it w'ent up last year was a little more than slight.”

The amount included in the budget will only cover 70 percent of the premium if the increase is no more than 12 percent, Dr. Gangel told the board members. If the increase is 20 percent, the amount included in the budget will be less than 70 percent.
