He told the board that several Department of Corrections officials had eaten at the restaurant and had become sick on the trip back to Richmond. The sheriff alleged that the greasy food was the cause of numerous prisoner visits to the town’s medical clinic, and that it took up to two weeks for prisoners to become accustomed to the food.
