With little debate the remaining items in the school budget were approved by the School Board last week, and the budget was adopted and sent to the Board of Supervisors.
The $4.4 million budget includes a request for $2,330,816 in county funds, up $411,089 from last year, but less $3,079 from the first draft presented to the board by Superintendent David Gangel.
Most of the difference, $2,779, came from new estimates of state funds to support the budget. The rest qame from the decision to appropriate $300 from this year's budget to repair a leaky roof rather than carry the item into the next fiscal year.
