Katie Partlow
Katie Elkins Scott Partlow, 72, of Front Royal died March 28 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Partlow was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Fauquier County, the daughter of the late John Henry and Laura Virginia Clegg Elkins. She attended the Chester Gap Baptist Church and was married to the late James Norwood Scott Sr.
Surviving are her husband, George L. Partlow; one son, James N. Scott Jr., Huntly; three daughters, Marrley Scott Brown, Helen Scott Wine and Barbara Scott Costello, all of Front Royal; one sister, Laura Virginia Fidler, Huntly; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held April 1 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. James W. Burke officiating. Burial was in the Willis Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Chadwell, George Brown, Billy Elkins, Larry Smith, Charles Costello and Emmett H. Rutherford.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Wines, Matthew Wines, Edward Chadwell, Mark Henry and David Jenkins.
