Red Barn Antiques grand opening is set for this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 6-8 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Other days will be by appointment, 937-5704. Emma and Paul Swatman invite the community to view the many special pieces, including an oak sideboard, Birdseye Maple dresser, etc. She is grateful to Paul’s sister, Mary Lou Oyler of Johnstown, PA for painting the sign.
Contestants for honorary fire chief, prince and princess will be accepted through Saturday, April 8. Tickets for $1,000 prize will be distributed to honorary fire chief contestants ages 12-17 from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 at the fire house. (Drawing will be held on Saturday, July 1, not necessary to be present). Register by calling Cathv at 937-5024.
Prince and princess contestants ages 3-8 should call Lorraine at 9375526. They may also begin collecting donations on Saturday night, April 8. Walk-in registration will also be available from 5-6 p.m. April 8 at the fire house.
