The luncheon, beginning at 11:30, honors the many hours of caring and sharing provided by volunteers over 60. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center, and is coordinated by Mrs. McNear.

“We have many requests for volunteers, and we’re always looking for more,” she said. In particular, Mrs. McNear said Rappahannock programs need tutors, drivers, simple clerical help, hosts and hostesses, and people who love children and can transport students to counseling and other services not within walking distance.

For more information about the RSVP services offered, or to volunteer your time, contact Mrs. McNear at Family Guidance Services of Rappahannock (675-3329).
