Contest deadline
The deadline for entries in the county-wide Recyclable Art Contest has been extended until Thursday, April 13, when they may be delivered to the Middle Street Gallery from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Winners in the student division will be announced at the opening of the Recycled Art Show on Sunday, April 16 at the gallery. Hospice offers training
Hospice of the Rapidan’s Volunteer Training Sessions will be held the evenings of Thursday, April 6, and Monday, April 10, and all day Saturday, April 8. Volunteers provide a “special kind of caring” by assisting with transportation, emotional support, patient advocacy, and bereavement counseling. Art and craft bazaar
Salem Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will sponsor its first art and craft bazaar on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the fire hall in Griffinsburg, Rt. 522.
