$7,500 for one or more consultants to do an plan for the area along Route 211 that is designated for future commercial growth. This work would involve maps showing needed improvements in roads, water, and sewer lines that would be needed if this area is allowed to develop. Mr. McCarthy told the board he would like to do this area plan this year, and starting next year do similar studies for the village areas that are designated for future residential growth.
Included in the budget is $175,000 for trash collection from the dumpsters — up $19,000 from this year’s budget — and $95,000 for improvements to the landfill, a decrease from the $350,000 budgeted in this year’s budget.
The county’s share of the $507,810 welfare budget is due to increase $12,322 to $90,741. Most of this increase is due to foster care programs for children. The cost of juveniles in detention is also expected to increase for next year to $15,000 from $2,500 bud
