The County Extension office is asking for a new extension agent to work with 4-H clubs. The county's share of that salary would be one-third. t
The Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Association is requesting about $25,000 additional in county funds. Association President Frankie Huff explained, in a letter to the board, that $15,000 of that is for a capital outlay for purchasing a new phone system to go into the jail addition for dispatching. Part of that would also be used to change the radio frequency on all the radio units used by the various fire companies and rescue squads.
