Applicants must demonstrate an ability to meet and work with the public, as well as to make decisions, organize work and carry out gypsy moth related activities. Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to work under minimal supervision are required. Completion of a college or university degree with studies in entomology, agricultural related or other biological science is preferred. As the position requires driving (a personal vehicle), outdoor work, hiking, map reading, and working alone, the employee must have a valid driver's license, be in good health, have some map reading skills, and be able to work alone.
