Warren Memorial Hospital will illustrate the important role it plays in the ongoing physical and economic well-being of Front Royal and the Warren County area during National Hospital Week, May 7-Rk
The theme for this year's celebration is “Wellspring of the Community." Like a wellspring, a hospital is constantly renewing the resources for its community, a hospital spokesman explained. The Health Fair, which is usually held during Hospital Week, will take place in September of this year.
Special events for the week include: Wednesday, May 10 from 7-9 p.m., the hospital will have an open house for the community to come in and see the different departments within the hospital and hear special lectures on health related topics. On Thursday, May 11, the hospital will once again have its Hospital Family Appreciation Day where employees, medical staff, volunteers and Hoard of Trustees will be treated to a free meal served by department heads in the cafeteria.
National Hospital Week is sponsored each year by the American Hospital Association and its .7,20(1 member hospitals. Warren Memorial Hospital joins this national observance to strengthen its ties to the community and foster understanding among its patients, employees and area residents, the spokesman said.
