May festival
The annual May Day Festival will be held Sunday, May 7. from noon-4 p.m. at the Morgan Cabin, located on YV. \ a. Route 2b, west of U S. 11 in Bunker Hill, eight miles south of Martinsburg.
The Morgan Cabin is the home of Colonel Morgan, the first settler in the State of West Virginia. In 172s Morgan brought his family to this rich valley in Bunker Hill and by 1731 he was building a cabin. It was completed iifthe year 1734. During the 197b U.S. Bicentennial the cabin was purchased and rebuilt, using original logs when possible.
