Kevino made a brief appearance in Virginia when he came in second behind Aristoskip at Blue Ridge March 11. The horse returned north, winning a novice timber contest April 1 at Brandywine Hill’s Point-to-Point in West Chester, Pa. He was second at the Benjamin Murray Memorial (April 22) behind the Chilean-bred Cabral.
The Bruce Davidson-trained Reasono, also slated to run in the Gold Cup, came in third.
Reasono Aletta Bredin-Bell’s Reasono was also second at Brandywine April 1, and in ’88 he won the Foxhall Farm’s team race with three-day event rider Davidson in the irons.
