Mr. Coppedge was born September 13, 1910, in Madison County, the son of the late William Wesley and Effie Leathers Coppedge. He was a retired farmer and was a deacon at F.T. Baptist Church, Slate Mills.
Survivors /include his wife, Thelma Yowell Coppedge, Etlan; one brother, Fred Coppedge, Etlan; and two sisters, Gerline C. Henshaw, Reva and Lillian C. Mitchell. Haywood.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil R. Coppedge, Douglas M. Coppedge and Clarence E. Coppedge'.
Funeral services were held April 30 at Eltant United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Taylor and Rev. Doug Farmer officiating. Interment was in Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Henshaw, William Henshaw, Dennis Coppedge, Douglas Coppedge, Ross Shifflett, Randy Jenkins, James Stanley and Harold Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Rescue Squad.
