Fair May 12
The Goose Creek Herb Guild's Eighth Annual Herb Fair and Sale is slated for Friday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Middleburg Community Center on U.S. 50 in Middleburg.
The Guild will be offering more than 2,500 plants including culinary and pot-pourri herbs with many variations of some species; everlastings for dried arrangements and wreaths, flowering plants for color, and a few of the loveliest of old-fashioned roses for added fragrance and easy care, plus a limited selection of young English boxwood.
In addition, a collection of small statuary for interest and added dimension in the Garden will be displayed for sale.

Mr. and Mrs. David Henry Alther of Washington are proud to announce the birth of their son David Henry Jr. born May 1 at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He weighed eight pounds, seven ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.
