Sen. Warner might also be boosted by the “star” quality he radiates in contrast to the efficient and intellectual Baliles, who has never been accused of an overabundance of charisma.
The Warner-Baliles match-up, if it developed, would be one to remember. and „the outcome would likely be very close. Republicans are naturally hoping the governor will opt to leave public service and quietly return to the private practice of law or seek some other occupation than Senator, for if he doesn't run, Warner’s re-election will be practically assured.
