According to the Hagers-Toun Town and Country Almanack, this is the outlook for May.

Weather Watch: Expect May to provide below average temperatures but precipitation will be average. The month opens with days that are fair and mild 1-4, followed by rains and winds 5-7 with fair skies and warm temps 8-11. Look for scattered showers 12-15. We’re in for a changeable period of fair, warm days 16-19 but then it’s a forecast of heavy showers and storms 20-22. May can’t quite make up its mind for the rest of the month as we call for fair, mild 23-25; scattered showers 26, 27; fair and warm 28, 29; and storms 30, 31.

Tornado watch: Inhabitants of the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic states should be on the lookout 2-4 and those in the Southeast to Mid-Atlantic again on 12-14.

Full moon occurs on the 20th at 1:16 p.m. and, is generally called the flower moon.
