Wanted: Miss Rappahannock The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Sipiad will sponsor its annual Miss Rappahannock Reality Pageant on Saturday. May R-5 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Rappahannock County High School. The event is open to all young women between the ages of two and 21. There will also be a mother daughter division this year. Creative workshops for kids Two'workshops on the creative arts are being offered for children and teenagers by performance artist Catherine Kiley. Sponsored by the Holden Key. they will be held at the Town Hall in Washington on Mondays, from May S-dune 12. A class forages 7-12 will meet from 4-b p.m. followed by a workshop for teens from t>:30-is:30 p.m. The younger students will present a performance on the last day of classes, while the older students will be encouraged to create a performance for RAAC's Talent Show at the Gay St. Theatre on .June 17. Bluesman Hammond at Gay St. Renowned blues musician John Hammond will appear in concert at the Gay St. Theater on May'ti. The performance is being sponsored by RAAC with the assistance of an anonymous patron who is helping to defray a major portion of the concert’s cost.
