Deer season begins Monday
The big game season begins in earnest on Monday, Nov. 16, one-half hour before sunrise, when hunters take to the woods and fields looking for bucks. Again this year, bear and turkey will not be in season for the first week of deer season. Both can legally be hunted beginning Nov. 23. Like last yer, the first Saturday of the season, Nov. 21, will be a doe day in *. Rappahannock County.
Public schools will observe their regular schedule on Monday, and all students are expected to attend.
Tax bills due Dec. 5

Tax bills for real estate and personal property are due by Saturday, Dec. 5. Bills for this year's taxes have been mailed, and failure to receive a bill does not relieve taxpayers of the obligation to pay the taxes due, or affect the interest charges and penalties that accrue for failure to pay the tax due, according to Treasurer Frances Foster, v
