We all beat the Devil and came into the resting place of our kindred a little breathless. Those who had not been here before busied themselves copying names and dates from the markers. We took some refreshments among our quiet relatives, checked our watches (noting it was five minutes to one) and bet on how long it would take to get back to our respective vehicles. It was all down hill now!
Well, we beat the devil twice that day. . .going and coming, but I sure felt like the devil the next day.
