Lee Anderson Atkins, 89, of Sperryville, died Tuesday, Nov. 10 4t Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Atkins was born Aug. 4, 1903 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Lloyd M. and Martha C. Atkins.
He was retired from the State Highway department and was a member of Beech Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma C. Atkins; one daughter, Lee Anna Wharton of Sperryville; two sons, James A. Atkins of Luray and B. Wilson Atkins of Sperryville; one sister, Dolly Pullen of Sperryville; 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Atkins was predeceased by two daughters, Frances Marie Atkins and Barbara Christine Atkins; three sisters, Sally Atkins, Lulia Dodson and Mary Blanche and one brother, Monroe Atkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 at Clore Funeral Home chapel in Culpeper with Rev. Kirby Shenk officiating. Burial will be in Sperryville cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
