A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Jones officiating. Interment was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born March 29,1908 in Markham, son of the late Vincent and Emma Saffell Robinson. He attended the Community Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Bentonville. He was a farmer and owner of Gooney Manor Farm in Browntown. He served on the Board of Directors of Citizens National Bank of Front Royal which became Farmers and Merchants Bank, a position he held for over 60 years. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Front Royal Academy which became Mosby Academy and now is the Middle School on 15th Street in Front Royal. He was an advisor and benefactor of the Northern Virginia 4-H Center where the William V. Robinson Lodge was dedicated in his honor.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by three sisters, Tacie Walters Robinson, Mary Robinson and Ann Curtis.
Survivors include one sister, Lucy Ann Robinson of Philadelphia, Pa.; two nieces, Betty C. Boldridge of Rixeyville and Sallie C. Clement of Verona; one nephew^ Terry T. Curtis of Christians burg" and a lifetime close friend Vera V. Rudacille of Front Royal.
Pallbearers were Jerry Henry, Edward Fletcher, Norman Ricci, Jerry Mathews, Lee Capps and John Dooley.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Board of Directors of F & M Bank.
