Six persons were injured in traffic accidents over the past week in Rappahannock County.
Four persons were transported to hospital following a single-car accident early Sunday morning on Route 622, one-tenth of a mile north of Route 624.
According to information provided by Sgt. G. A. Morris of the Virginia State Police, Mary Ramirez of Front Royal was driving a 1987 Buick on Route 622 about 7 a.m. when the car ran off the right side of • the road and hit a tree.
Trooper C. A. Moore investigated the accident and reported that four person were injured. Besides the driver, Ramirez, 36, three passengers in the car also were carried to the Front Royal Hospital: Loretta Dodson, 40; Robertta Monn, 33, and Aurelio Gallegos-Medrano.
Trooper Moore reported that the car was a total loss. He charged Ramirez with reckless driving.
Two persons were injured in another accident Monday morning on Route 707, the Slate Mills Road, about one mile west of Route 231, when a pickup truck collided with a sedan on a curve.
According to Sgt. Morris, George Carpenter of Culpeper was westbound in a 1991 Ford pickup, truck when he collided with a 1988 Pontiac sedan driven by Jesse Ward of F redericksburg.
Trooper S. M. Knick investigated the 10:30 a.m. accident and reported that the pickup truck suffered about $1,500 damage and the sedan was a total loss. Ward and a passenger in his car, Gary McNutt, 42, were injured. Trooper Knick charged Caperton with failure to drive right of center.
Trooper Moore also filed charges following an accident at the intersection of Routes 522 and 231 near Sperryville on Nov. 8.
According to his report, a 1985 Plymouth driven by Michelle Debell, 38, of Fredericksburg, collided with a 1991 Buick, driven by Audrey Shall, 55, of Waldorf, Md.
Trooper Moore estimated $1,500 damage to the Plymouth and minor damage to the Buick. According to his report,Shall was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way after pulling out onto Route 522 in front of Debell, headed south.
