There is a rythm about this play that I’m sure the writing dictates, and director Roland Reed interpreted it well.
You know the actors are professional w-hen they come out for their curtain call and you have to remind yourself that they are not the family you have been involved with for the last two hours. I’m not much for re- ■ hashing credits, but suffice it to say. that Astrid Brinck is a poetic Gatita. She has the timing of a comic genius and the anger of a rebel. I was extremely impressed with each perfor- • mance, and on the ride home my husband asked me if we could go to see it again.
That 21 inch screen in your living room is no match for the proscenium stage, especially at the Theatre at Washington, Va. It is, to say the least, charming, as is its manager, Wendy Weinberg, and it is small enough that you’re guaranteed a great seat.
